Jennifer tests VOIP

Like all businesses we are always on the lookout for ways to cut costs, recently we took aim at our phone expense, which for all our locations totals well over $100,000.  We asked our very capable IT guy, George, to figure out how to make VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol), which uses the internet instead of phone lines, work in our offices and stores.  After searching around for  the best price,  rumor has it he found a vendor in China, we began testing the new phones in our stores in Detroit and in some of our corporate offices. I personally have been using it now for a few weeks and while the reception is not always crystal clear, the potential saving more than outwiegh the sporadic static.
