The Newest Crazy Bookshelf (and a Dresser Too)

A few weeks back, we wrote about some really awesome bookshelves that will complement Jennifer Convertibles sofas just fine.

Today, we discovered this even more eclectic bookshelf.

This is a design by the German Studio Proxy company. All I have to say is "wow."

They also have this awesome dresser.

Would you buy one? I think that the uniqueness is certainly a conversation starter. Don't you?

Insanely Awesome Tables for Your Home

Have you decided to dress up your living room with eclectic tables? We've scoured the Internet for some crazy ones and want to share them. For a taste of modernity some retro styles, check out our Jennifer Convertibles recommendations.

Seen above is The Wave, an interactive coffee table that lights up as you move items on it.

For the paper airplane lover, this is a treat. Here's a coffee table that's designed to look like the paper airplane you made as a kid.

This table is interesting. Called the Vu Coffee Table, this company takes a photograph of your dog, your cat, your fish, or your family portrait and puts it on the tabletop. I suppose this is a little risky since if you accidentally spill, it might cause some offense to the friends!

Here's a cool table concept. This table's color background changes based on the color of the item placed on the tabletop. So if you have a green piece of paper, the background will be green, and if you have a red one, the background turns red. Check out the video below for more:

Finally, piano lovers who own iPods will appreciate this grand piano table. The designer page says:

The Concerto Table seeks to transform the experience of the modern dinner party by combining the use of a dining table with the elegant curvature of a grand piano. Adapting the visual sensibility of an old baby grand piano, the table cleverly accommodates the issue of the many forgotten piano lessons of youth by providing a docking slot for your iPod.

What kind of table will you choose for your home?

Crazy Sofas for Your Home

Do you like eclectic sofabeds or comfy Jennifer Convertibles couches? What do I mean? Check out the couches that some people have created out of a desire to be... just a little different, varied, and expensive!

The Bed of the Future

bedfuture.jpg

Don't be surprised by the Leggett and Platt bed of the future. This thing looks like a sofa but in reality it's a bed that costs $50,000. It offers cooling, heating, and surround sound. Now how's that for an almost complete gadget replacement?

The Tetris Sofa

oisofa.jpg

Okay, so this is not quite the normal comfortable sofa you've been looking for. You take it out of a box and you build it. People don't come to you. It's all in your hands. On the plus side, the Oi, is it's called, is adaptable to different spaces, so if you move and relocate often, you might find this useful. Most of us, however, know that we're buying a normal sofabed for regular guests and friends.

The Accordion Sofa

This thing is just ridiculously cool. You have to watch the video to explore it in its true glory.

The Mousepad Couch

mousecouch.jpg

What do you do when you have a ton of spare mousepads and no place to put them? Well, you can make a sofa, after all. That's what this guy at the Rochester Institute of Technology did. I kind of wonder how stinky the couch is, though.

The Radiator Couch

At first glance, the Sitscape couch looks like a radiator with adjustable heights. Not quite, though. According to their site, this is a 6meter "seating zone" and can be adjusted for any type of position, whether sitting, lying down, or standing. It doesn't look that comfortable, though, but the concept is pretty cool.

Have you seen crazy couches in your day?
